Our Little Cupcake!

One of our favorite spots in West Seattle was Cupcake Royale. They had the best cupcakes - YUM! Kristy bought Madeleine this adorable outfit from their...it is a bit big for her but we couldn't resist putting her in it! Thanks Kristy! ;-) My manager actually gave us the same outfit in pink too!

She's Growing!

Madeleine had her 2nd doctor's appt. today. She already weighs 8 lbs. & 8 ounces! She is growing & growing!!!


Here is Madeleine with her Grandpa and Grandma Schroeder! Her other grandparents are coming up to visit in February and she can't wait :-)

We finally have Madeleine sleeping in her crib! Hooray! Thanks to Jenni for suggesting ways to help us get her into the crib and safely sleeping on her side!

Madeleine Sleeping

Madeleine loves to sleep on her side which explains why we are up all night with her! She doesn't like to sleep on her back so during the day we lay her on her side/stomach and watch her sleep. She looks so cute! Hopefully we can get her used to sleeping on her back so we are not up all night holding her. One day at a time I guess!

It snowed!

It snowed at our house! Good thing we don't need to go anywhere. Here is picture of our view from our bedroom!

Baby's 1st Bath

Jeff gave Madeleine her 1st bath today! Like most babies, she doesn't like being naked!

Madeleine's 1st Doctor's Appointment

Madeleine had her 1st doctor's appointment yesterday and she checked out just fine! We were happy to hear that she is indeed a healthy baby! Here is a picture of her waiting for her appointment in her car seat :-)

Up all night, Sleep all day!

Madeleine is sure a night owl! She seems to like to sleep in the late afternoon and eat lots around 4 am!

I am really low on iron right now and am looking a bit pale. But here is a pic of us anyhow!

Madeleine Rose has arrived!!!

Madeleine Rose arrived on Wednesday January 9th at 4:11 pm. She weighed 7 lbs. & 15 ounces. Jeff & I are very excited! We are in love with our new daughter and think she is the cutest thing ever!!!

My labor started at 9pm on Tuesday and we were off to the hospital at midnight. We finally came home on Friday night and things are going well. She is sleeping and eating well! Enjoy the pics!!!

Still sick

I am still sick with a horrible cold! The doctor says that most women won't deliver while they are sick...I guess nature just knows it is best not to deliver a baby to a sick woman!

From my last check-up they think Madeleine is about 7 lbs. so we will see in a few weeks!

No Baby Yet

In case you are wondering...no baby yet. I think I want to hold off for a bit now since I am SICK! I came down with a cold so I have been laying low all day today. Hopefully I feel better soon!
