Strawberry Picking!

While sissy is away, Braden & mommy will play ;)

Braden & I had a rare, mommy-son morning out together! We went strawberry picking...just the two of us. This was probably the easiest outing ever with Braden because he LOVES strawberries! I won't even tell you how POUNDS of strawberries he eats a week...let's just say that stopping by Costco happens more than once a week.

The strawberries were ripe and ready to pick. After about 20 minutes, we had 6 1/2 pounds and headed home!

Father's Day Weekend

Happy Father's Day! We started celebrating on Saturday. Madeleine could not wait for Jeff to open his present from her :) She bought him walkie talkies with her own money! All weekend we went on spy missions and played hide & go seek with clues via walkie talkie. So fun!

Jeff took a bike ride from our house to Seward park and met us there. I jumped in the open water for the first time this year when he arrived. We are both training for a triathlon in July!

On Sunday morning, Braden couldn't wait to greet daddy and give him another present!

We then spent Sunday morning celebrating with my family! Thanks to Stephen & Sharyn for hosting! Such a fun morning!

Tugboat Story Time

We headed into Seattle for story time the Center for Wooden Boats. Highly Recommend!

Last Day of School

Madeleine's last day of school pictures. Hugging teachers and friends goodbye. No tears from Madeleine but I cried. If I could take Miss Jen with us, I would :)

Beach Naturalist

We headed down to Constellation Beach for the Beach Naturalist program with some preschool friends! The tide was super low and made for a fun morning of exploring!

Breakfast served!

Madeleine is able to serve herself breakfast! We got her all set up with a cereal scoop and milk pitcher!

Preschool Graduation!

She's off to kindergarten in the Fall! I can't believe our time at preschool is over. We have had many wonderful times there, Madeleine absolutely loved her teachers and made many friends! I am going to miss going there each week...thank goodness we'll be back with Braden in a couple of years!

Fishing!

We met up with my family at a little trout farm and went fishing! Kathryn, Madeleine & Braden each caught a fish! They had fun watching the fish come out of the water and were very interested in feeling the fish when it was in the bucket. Thanks mom & dad for a fun morning!

Little Lefty

I still subscribe to the babycenter e-mails and this week they talked about whether your child is right or left handed. The e-mail said that about this age, you can start to tell whether your toddler is right or left handed and gave a few tips on how to tell - hand them a few toys and see which hand typically grabs for them, watch to see what hand they color and eat with, ect. I'm declaring Braden a little lefty like his daddy!

Pinkalicious the Musical!

We met Lexie & Kristine to see Pinkalicious the Musical! This is the tale, based on a popular book, of a little girl named Pinkalicious who can't stop eating pink cupcakes despite warnings from her parents. Her pink indulgence lands her at the doctor's office with Pinkititis, an affliction that turns her pink from head to toe! 

Afterwards, the girls had dinner and cupcake together! What a fun afternoon!
