The good and the bad...

The best part of my day so far is that I got paid to sit outside in the sunshine! Madeleine napped and I set-up my office on tha patio and did some work! The worst part of my day is that I paid $4.63 a gallon for gas this morning. Ugh.

Tickle Me Elmo

Grandma Schroeder brought over a Tickle Me Elmo for Madeleine. Madeleine thinks Elmo is pretty funny! We've also discovered that we can totally do a fake laugh for Madeleine and she laughs right back at us - too cute!

1/2 way there!

Andrea is 20 weeks along already! A week from now she will know for sure if she is having a boy or a girl!
Madeleine and I enjoyed some time visiting with the Wagar's while Jeff is away on his golf trip!

Julie visits from Chile!

My good friend and college roommate Julie is home visiting from Chile! She moved to Chile about a year ago with her husband and daughter Emma while pregnant with Audrey. Today was the 1st time that I've met Audrey!

Here is Audrey, she is about 10 months old!

Madeleine was VERY interested in Audrey and couldn't keep her eyes off of her! She watched Audrey cruise around the living room and play with all her toys. Audrey touched Madeleine and tried to talk to Madeleine. It was so cute!

Here is Julie with Audrey and Madeleine!

Happy Father's Day!!!

Happy Father's Day! Jeff and I celebrated on our own on Saturday, starting with breakfast in bed for Jeff...including homemade scones as requested ;-)

Madeleine enjoyed playing with the tissue paper from daddy's gift...but she wasn't up for much celebration - we had a tired girl on our hands! She went down for a long nap shortly after breakfast. It is amazing how much they sleep sometimes!

Madeleine and I watching daddy open his gifts...are you diggin' my 80's morning hair?

I made a stepping stone for Jeff to put in the garden as part of his Father's day gift. This was my 2nd attempt at making one.

After Madeleine's nap, we headed out to a beer festival in Kirkland that was appropriately named "The Mother of All Father's Day Celebrations"! The event was family friendly too. It was a lot of fun!

We met Doug, Amy & Odin at the festival

Cheers!

Odin, cute as always!

Now Odin is trying to have a taste!

Madeleine likes to be up high so she can see what's going on!

We ended our day at the playground. Here is Odin & Madeleine enjoying the baby swings!

Back in the swings. Odin is so tuckered out, he feel to sleep!

Madeleine & Lucky playing

I am dogsitting this weekend for my mom & dad while they celebrate Father's Day with my grandparents. So instead of playing with one baby, I've got two babies wanting my attention!

Madeleine has started to sit and play on her own. Jeff and I can't believe it. She will just sit and entertain herself with her toys. It is amazing how fast they grow up! Where did our tiny baby go?

Swing Baby Swing!

Jeff & I took Madeleine to a playground near our house to try out the baby swings! She loved it!

Check out Madeleine's hair, it is really starting to grow! (If you click on the picture, it should get bigger)

Rain, Rain, GO AWAY!

A wet start to the month of June. We've had some rain and gray skies. I am itching for some sunshine and it looks like it will be returning after the weekend. Let's hope so!

But no rain drops will spoil our excitement for Jeff's step-brother Matt who just announced his engagement! Congratulations to Matt! Matt and his fiance are planning a March 2009 wedding in Texas.

Also...congratulations to my dear friend Carissa from childhood who is also getting married this month in Greece. She has told me that she will be having a ceremony here in the states in the next two years and I am holding her to it! I don't want to miss it! (Last year Carissa traveled to Greece for vacation, fell in love, packed up her stuff in California and moved to Greece...the rest is history! Ahh...what a fairytale!)

Construction

Well they have FINALLLY started construction next door. I can see the excavator doing it's thing as I'm typing. I'm happy it has started so the construction is finally over but a bit disappointed that they started now...just as summer is starting. Looking forward to meeting the new neighbors though! I think the lot next door is the last lot to be developed...there may be one more...but we can finally say good-bye to the honey bucket outside our house! LOL!!!

Back In the Saddle

Jeff and his buddies, Rob & Brian, went on a 20-mile ride today around Snoqualmie! Jeff hasn't ridden in over a year so it was a bit of challenge but a lot of fun. The boys bbq'd a few steaks after the ride and enjoyed some guy time!
