Happy Halloween!

We had a fun Halloween and are left with A LOT of candy. I way over estimated the amount of tricker treaters we would have.

We dressed Madeleine up in her costume and took her out to lunch today. She had fun and got a lot of attention! :-)

Happy Halloween! We tried to get Madeleine out & about as many times as possible in her Halloween get-up and we were successful. Here are some pictures from our spooky month!

Mom and Madeleine at the pumpkin patch for the 3rd TIME!!! I had to get a picture of her in her costume at the patch. (Before this year, I had never been to a pumpkin patch)

Yuck...Prune Juice!

For obvious reasons, we've been giving Madeleine some prunce juice the last few days. Prune juice is disgusting...have you ever tasted it before? I hadn't so I didn't know what poor little Madeleine had to drink! I could have bought grape juice but I couldn't find any without added sugar. Anyhow, I gave it to her and she gagged! She thought it was disgusting too. Poor little thing.

Anyways, to get her to drink it, I've been pretending to drink the diluted prune juice out of her tippy cup and she thinks this is VERY funny. So after I *drink* the prune juice, I give her the tippy cup and she drinks it down with a smile on her face. I'll enjoy this stage now because before we know it, she'll know we're pulling her leg!

From Today...

A future furniture designer? Madeleine is obsessed with our dining room chairs. It is kind of funny but she hangs out in this spot A LOT during the day.

Pulling Up!

Madeleine has started to pull up to a standing position this week! She stood up for Jeff the other day but I didn't see it. As I was eating my lunch today, I turned to look at Madeleine and there she was...STANDING! I couldn't believe my eyes! I hurried to get my camera and took this picture:


I also caught Madeleine standing up in her crib today!

Halloween Playdate!

Madeleine & I attended a Halloween playdate today! All the little babies were so cute! Madeleine is a monkey this year and there was also another monkey, a giraffe, lady bugs, a tiger, a pumpkin and many more adorable dressed up babies!

We were the first ones to arrive and here is Madeleine playing with the lion! The weather is really nice today so I waited until more babies showed up because Madeleine's costume makes her really hot.

Weekend Pics

It was a beautiful weekend in Seattle with the sunshine and all the leaves changing. In anticipation of Halloween, we carved our pumpkin over the weekend and are expecting A LOT of tricker treaters! Too bad Jeff and I have been eating all the Halloween candy....oops!

Amy the twins came over for a visit! Here is a pic of the girls!

Also, I saw the movie "The Duchess" on Saturday night. VERY GOOD movie!

Happy Birthday to Jeff...AGAIN!

We celebrated Jeff's birthday with some friends over the weekend. We hung out at Jillian's to watch the Seahawks WIN their game! Hooray! It was a lot of fun to see everyone and to catch up. Madeleine stayed home with Grandma and Grandpa and had a very fun day at their house!

Happy Birthday Raymont!

My nephew Raymont turned 10 today! We celebrated over the weekend with all of his family and friends. Since his birthday is so close to Halloween, the kids usually dress up and this year Raymont was a Clone Warrior...whatever that is! I can't keep up with all the kids movies, ect. :-) Madeleine wore her monkey costume but got too hot in it so we took it off and I didn't get a picture of Raymont in his costume either. Shoot!

Here is Raymont's cousin...he was Indiana Jones and he is SO ADORABLE! I just want to squeeze him!


Action shot - He blew out all 10 candles and made a wish! It was yummy cookies and cream ice-cream cake...I could go for some more right now!

Madeleine's latest thing

A full day out for Madeleine

We were out & about all day today and our 1st stop was to see Grandma Schroeder at work (my former highschool)! My mom showed Madeleine off to all her co-workers and they just loved Madeleine.

Madeleine really liked a Halloween troll my mom had in her office!

Next, we stopped by to see how Andrea was doing. She is 36 weeks pregnant and getting big!!! I got to see the nursery and everything she received from all FOUR of her showers. Needless to say, they are set!

Our final stop of the day was the doctor for Madeleine's 9-month check-up. Madeleine is in the 89th percentile for weight (down from the 96th percentile because of all the moving she is doing!), 85th percentile for height (about the same), and 96th percentile for head circumference (about the same)! She has a big head!!!

Baby Eleanor!

I started watching another baby today - 18-month old baby Eleanor! So now I have Eleanor on Monday's and Lila (9 months) on Wednesdays. Madeleine seems to enjoy the company. It is so cute to watch them do baby talk to each other!

Madeleine is a crawling machine today! It is so much fun to watch! Madeleine only likes to crawl towards danger though...cords, computers, anything that she isn't suppose to have. Luckily Jeff and I don't have much planned for the weekend because it looks like we'll be child proofing!







I'm watching my parents dog this weekend and Madeleine LOVES Lucky! She thinks he is soooo funny!

She's Crawling!

Madeleine crawled today! 2 days shy of her 9-month birthday and on her daddy's birthday! She has been scooting, rolling and trying to crawl for a little while but she actually crawled across a room today. I tried to get her to crawl to me but I think she was tired and went back to rolling. It seems she will only crawl to something she really wants, not me obviously, but something she really wants and can't have...like a cord! I can't take my eyes off her for a second now. It was very exciting to watch her crawl!

Happy Birthday Jeff!

Happy 34th Birthday to Jeff! We celebrated early by watching Monday night football (and baseball) and eating pizza. Jeff even got to enjoy his favorite ice-cream from coldstone creamery! We get to celebrate again with all of Jeff's friends at the end of the month!

Madeleine gave daddy some "Office" themed mechanical pencils! Jeff was very impressed that Madeleine already knows his favorite t.v. show and took the time to find these pencils. It was very nice of her to spend her hard earned money on him!

I gave Jeff some W.S.U cougar slippers! Go Cougs!

Madeleine & I met Jeff for lunch near his work. We had yummy Vietnamese food at one of our favorite places. Look at Madeleine in this huge highchair!
