Kids Yearly Photos!

We had the kids yearly photos done a few weeks ago by Hello October Photography. She met us at Luther Burbank park in Mercer Island for a 30-minute mini shoot. We love the images she captured! Madeleine at 5yrs old, Braden at 2yrs old.

Florida Part II

We had so much fun on our trip! Here are a few more pictures...

We visited the Children's Museum in Naples, it was incredible! Well worth the drive. We spent all morning there.

Sadly, I didn't get very many pictures of Aunt Sarah & Gail but Jeff clicked this one when he went out to dinner with his family. We had so much fun seeing them and catching up! Madeleine & Braden loved seeing them too and gave them lots of hugs!

Braden loved seeing GG in Florida!

We spent a lot of time at the beach. The beach in Marco Island had a ton of shells and Madeleine loved to collect them...so did I!

Jeff & I got to go out on a date night and headed back to Naples for some shopping and dinner. We made a reservation at Cafe Luna and thank goodness we did, the line was down the street to get in. Once we sat down, we found out they have this incredible deal - dinner for two and a bottle of wine for $25. The wine was pretty good too. Great food and a great deal! We spent the night out and got to sleep in too - thank you to Grandma JJ and all of the aunties for watching the kids for us!
Lots of card playing!

We also found a water park! 13 of us piled in cars and played at the park for the morning. Madeleine had her first jump off a diving board and Braden couldn't get enough of the lazy river!

Jeff & Madeleine headed to a baseball game with cousin Drew and Uncle John while Laura and I lunched on the water. It was so much fun to catch up with her and do a little shopping!

Braden & cousin Elizabeth - super cuteness!

Pool time with Laura & Amy - we missed you Erin!

All the cousins swimming!

Everyone loves Grandma!

On our last night there, we had a babysitter watch all the kids so we could enjoy a dinner out. So fun!

Thank you to Grandma JJ for such a wonderful trip to sunny Florida! It was so much fun to see family and catch up with everyone. The kids had a blast and we did too! We will miss everyone and hopefully see everyone again soon. We love you all!

Happy 2nd Birthday Braden!

We celebrated Braden's 2nd Birthday at the beach - his new favorite place! We stopped for gelato on the way and then played in the sand & water. We built some sand castles and collected shells. That night, we had Aunt Sarah & Aunt Gail over for ice-cream cake! Aunt Sarah & Aunt Gail even surprised Braden with some toys for his birthday and big sissy got a present too :) Grandma JJ & GG gave Braden money for swim lessons. Thank you everyone for helping us celebrate Braden's Big Day!

Our little boy is growing up so fast! At 2 years old, he is as big as Madeleine was at 3 years old...a BIG, TALL boy! He is talking more and more and definitely lets us know what he wants. He just learned his colors and is trying to count...usually it's 1, 2, 3, 1, 2, 1, 2, 4...and tries to sing the ABC's too. He is very loving and gives everyone hugs and kisses. He is still an early riser, usually up by 6:30. He spoils us with the occasional 7:00 but it never lasts long. His favorite foods are cheese, crackers, bread, bananas, and blueberries (blue blues). He doesn't care for any meat or veggies :( His favorite song is Twinkle Twinkle Little Star!

His favorite toys are any balls, any cars/trucks/buses/choo choos! He loves to call out "school bus" when he sees one on the road. Braden keeps us on our toes at all times. We love our little boo boo bear, cuddle buggy, B-Boy, B, Braden!

Sunny Florida - Part 1

Stop #2 - Florida! We were so excited to head to Florida for a few weeks of sun & fun! We stayed in a house with Jeff's family and were able to see lots of family! This was Braden's first time seeing waves! Of course he's seen the Puget Sound back home but he had never seen actual beach waves. The house we stayed at had a pool so we were very busy going to the beach and swimming in the pool. Madeleine swam 4 hours a day sometimes! It was so much fun!

Madeleine got incredibly good at diving for rings. She started off on the steps and then ended diving in the deepest part of the pool! She swam all over the pool. It was so cool for her to be able to swim on her own this time!

Pool tricks!

One night we headed into Naples for dinner with the kids. We happened onto an awesome happy hour at Cafe Lurcrat and the kids could come in (shock!). It was kind of funny having the kids join us at happy hour. This particular restaurant was very modern, super trendy so we felt a bit out of place with the kiddos but they were well behaved.

Cheers!

Braden refused to hold my hand.

Hook 'em Horns - Our Trip to Dallas

We just got home from a very fun trip seeing family! First stop - Dallas, TX. The kids were SO EXCITED to board the airplane. They both did very well on the flight. Between snacks, games, crayons, stickers, movies, ect., we made it there without a fuss :)

When we arrived, Mimi & Papa were ready for us! They had put together lots of toys and fun things for the kids to play with. Madeleine even had her very own sleeping tent filled with stuff animals!

Dress up clothes and new pj's for Madeleine!

After a good night of rest, we headed out to the Stockyards where we saw our very first Longhorn and lots of farm animals! So cool!

The day did not end well though...Madeleine, Braden & I were put in jail :(

We got bailed out and went to lunch!

The weather was beautiful and we spent lots of time outdoors exploring Papa & Mimi's new neighborhood. We found a few parks nearby and the kids loved to play!

Jeff let Madeleine drive us around in Papa's golf cart. He seriously let her drive it...a bit nerve racking to let a 5-year old drive you around.

We got an overnight date night! We tried to be oh-so-fancy at a hotel downtown and met up with Matt & Carla for sushi. Here is a picture from the hotel of their beautiful flowers.

Good-bye Papa & Mimi! We had so much fun! Love you!
