Christmas!

Chrismas Eve!

My brother, Sharyn and Raymont (and Lucky too of course) came over to celebrate Christmas Eve with Jeff & I. We watched a movie, ate a yummy dinner that Jeff prepared and watched Raymont open some gifts!

3'7"

That's my circumference - 3'7"! Wow! Less than 3 weeks to go until my due date. We are anxiously awaiting baby Madeleine. Any feelings or thoughts of nervousness about the delivery have vanished. I am 100% ready for her to be here already! Our bag is packed, the room is ready....we just sit around and stare at each other, waiting and waiting for the BIG moment!

My last day of work was yesterday. Before I left, my boss hosted a work shower for me over Thai food in our old stomping grounds - good 'ole W. Seattle. Everyone was very thoughtful and quite generous! The food was delicious too!

Our plan for the holiday is simple since all of Jeff's family lives elsewhere and my parents are in Illinois celebrating the holidays with my aunt (plans were made well in advance of finding out about the pregnancy), my brother, Sharyn and Raymont are coming over for Christmas Eve dinner. We'll probably watch a movie and just relax. Jeff and I don't have many plans for Christmas day...maybe we'll go to church and catch another movie. It is our last Christmas for just the two of us so whatever we decide to do, we plan to enjoy the day!

36 Weeks!

I only have 4 weeks to go! We can't believe it! The room is all set-up and we finished our baby classes so we feel set...now it's time to hurry up and wait. Overall the pregnancy has gone well and I have felt good. I am really swollen from head to toe..my wedding ring hasn't fit since October. My legs are swollen like marshmellows - good times!

We are excited for Madeleine to arrive and can't wait for everyone to meet her!

Our Christmas Tree!

Jeff & I went up the street to a local tree farm and picked out our Grand Fir Christmas tree. It was a lot of fun! The tree farm is located at the foot of Mt. Si and it turned out to be a BEAUTIFUL day, a perfect sunny winter day! They had hot cider and cookies to munch on too!

Jeff already has the tree inside and he is now outside putting up the outdoor lights. I started to decorate the tree but realized that we don't have enough lights - shoot! We need to run to Sam's Club and get some more. I will post some more photos after the tree is all decorated.

Pre Thanksgiving Feast

We had a few friends over tonight and had a blast! We caught up with each other and had a yummy meal. 3/4 girls are pregnant so that pretty much dominated the conversation! It was a lot of fun!



We're all prego! I am due 1/10, Jenni is due shortly after and Andrea just found out she is prego too! I think Jenni will deliver before me....we'll see soon!

Andrea & I have known each other since we were 3 years old and are 8 months apart. Our babies will be 6 months apart. Are they destine to be best friends too? :-)

Madeleine's Room

Jeff and I are busy getting Madeleine's room ready with only 8 more weeks to go! We still have a few more things to wash, put away, put together...but it is coming together. Below are some pictures of what we have done so far. I will post some more pictures when we get it all finished - waiting on Grandma Kathy to finish her quilt and my friend Amy is making us a print to hang afer she is born!


Jeff had these animal paintings hanging in his nursery when he was a baby! They are hand painted by a family friend, Jeff's godmother.

Two-Year Anniversary

Jeff & I celebrated our two-year anniversary this weekend! We had breakfast at the Salish Lodge just up the street and then it was off to a pregancy massage for me. Glorious!

Jeff also planned dinner at the Space Needle but I was just too tired so we canceled. Instead we went to see a matinee - "Dan In Real Life". Really good! It was a great day!

Only 9 1/2 weeks to go!

We can't believe baby Madeleine will be here in 9 1/2 weeks...that is if she comes on time of course! She is very busy kicking, punching and doing some somersaults! I am getting bigger and bigger - the other day my co-worker asked if I could still see my feet? I thought I could but then I looked down and saw that I couldn't!

Here I am in my comfortable clothes after work. What they say is true: In your second trimester you feel like a million bucks (okay...maybe not a million, but I did feel pretty darn good) and then your third trimester rolls around and you start getting really uncomfortable! My tummy has never itched so much!!!

Home from Russia

Lumina visited last week from Russia (her new home)! She came up to our new house and was able to see my prego tummy! I also saw her for dinner with Kristy. Good times! Hopefully next time she visits under better circumstances...thinking of you & your dad Lum!

Baby Shower

Andrea & Melissa threw me a baby shower this weekend! I had so much fun seeing close friends and family. Even Jeff's mom flew in from Texas! Thanks to everyone for coming and especially to Andrea & Mel for throwing me such a special party to celebrate Madeleine.

I got so many neat gifts too! A great mix between the essentials and cute girly stuff! Everyone is so creative and thoughtful! The shower was very exciting and I was extremely tired when I got home...I tried to stay up and play with all my gifts but I was so tired that I had to go to bed. I woke up at 6 am on Sunday though so I could look through all of Madeleiene's things and start writing my thank-you cards!

Happy Halloween!

We are getting ready for Halloween! We carved pumpkins with some friends today and Jeff's pumpkin turned out pretty awesome! We are carving my pumpkin with some other friends in a few weeks - can't wait! My friend Amy brought me over a baby pumpkin for baby Madeleine. She is so creative...check it out, she painted the same rose on the pumpkin that she put on my baby shower invitation. Thanks Amy!

Here's lookin' at you!

Here are Madeleine's latest photos! I am 27 weeks along so almost to my third trimester. These ultrasound photos aren't as clear as the others we've had in the past....but we definately know she has at least one eye (LOL)

So, some of you may be asking yourself...what am I looking at!?!?!? The first photo you see is her head on the right and she is looking at you! In the middle abover her head is probably her tiny little arm and then on the left are her legs but it is hard to see. In the bottom picture you can see her spine.

Jeff's 33rd Birthday

Jeff turned 33 today! We invited a bunch of his buddies over to watch the Seahawks get their butts kicked. Oh well, we still had fun! Thanks to everyone who made it over!
