Seafair Triathlon

I finished my 2nd triathlon - Seafair! I had SO MUCH FUN! This triathlon was double the swim of my last (1/2 mile swim instead of a 1/4 mile), 12-mile bike and 5k run. I saw so many friends there and that made the experience even better! 


Seafair was much bigger than the Issaquah Tri. I was a little nervous getting into the water with over a hundred other women but the swim went surprisingly well. I never got kicked or anything. Because the swim was so long, everyone spread out more and found their own space to swim in. The bike was on a flat course across the I-90 bridge...a beautiful ride! It was a bit windy at time and a bit scary but mostly very exciting! The run was flat with a killer hill at the end. I ate more during this race and felt like I had a lot more energy.

Jeff & the kids met me at the finish line and I was so happy to see them! Nothing beats hugs & kisses from your favorite people :) The kids had a blast afterwards at the park. Seward park is just beautiful, I can't wait to go back!

Spray Park Fun!

I took the kids to a local spray park the other day and they had so much fun! A spray park is the PERFECT place for Braden...he loves to run through all the water and get wet. He just loves to run! Madeleine had fun too running through the sprinklers and playing. What a fun summer day!

Braden Talking

Braden is talking more and more! It is so neat to hear him try and say words. He is constantly making gibberish baby words and has full on conversations with Jeff, Madeleine & I. The facial expressions he makes while doing this crack me up! I love to watch him talk to us and tell us all kinds of things...too bad we have no idea what he is talking about!!!

Some actual words he can now pronounce are: hi, wow, baby, mama, dada, papa, cheese, doggy, woof-woof, rarrr (for the tiger), ball, shoes, and truck. Of course only immediate family can understand him when he says these words :) He hasn't mastered "no" quite yet...funny how that was one of Madeleine's first words.
 

Date Night!

Jeff & I got an overnight date night while Mimi & Papa watched the kids! We were so excited! We sat outside at a winery in Woodinville and had a glass of wine, headed over to do some putt-putt golf and then into Seattle to stay at a hotel. We had beautiful weather and a lot of sleep! Thank you Mimi & Papa!

Summer Fun!

We headed over to Cle Elum with Jeff's parents for a day trip to visit my parents at the RV Park (they got a motor home!!!) they were staying at. We had a lot of fun! The kids splashed around, played with bubbles and explored! Braden took a long nap in the motor home so Jeff & I actually got to sit for awhile and do nothing while Madeleine rode her bike with Grandpa. We enjoyed the beautiful weather, bbq'd some yummy food and drank margaritas...a nice relaxing day!

Mimi brought Madeleine LOTS of fun things but her favorite was this huge lamby! Thank you Mimi & Papa!

The kids have been splashing around the pool at home too. Braden LOVES to get into the pool with big sissy! So fun! Hooray for summer!

Great Wheel Seattle

We took Papa & Mimi to Jeff's work to say hi and then we all headed down to the waterfront to ride the Great Wheel! We had so much fun! The weather was perfect and the sights were amazing. Everyone enjoyed the ride, especially the kids. We ate yummy fish & chips afterwards and treated ourselves to ice-cream too!

Happy 4th of July!

Happy 4th of July! We started off our day by joining the neighborhood parade down Center Blvd. and through town to all the fun! The kids were dressed win red, white & blue and their riding toys were decked out as well. We walked through town and ended at the park where tons of bouncy houses, face painting, pony rides, ect were set up. We had a blast!


Kathryn also came up for the parade and it was extra special because it was her 3rd Birthday! Happy Birthday Kathryn!

Celebrating Mindee & Baby Charlotte!

We celebrated Mindee & baby Charlotte over the weekend at the New Castle golf course for brunch. It was a get together with lots of neat women for a little baby shower. We all had a great time! Mindee looked so happy and healthy with the cutest little baby bump. Charlotte will be arriving in August!!!

We visited Lincoln Park with some friends to play in the sand and explore the tide pools! Saw some pretty neat stuff and had lots of fun!

Papa & Mimi Visit Seattle!

Papa & Mimi are here for there yearly visit! We headed into Seattle today to see the Pike's Place Market and the waterfront. We had lots of fun looking around and picking up lots of yummy treats :)
