Bubbles!
Madeleine enjoyed her very 1st bubble bath today and she loved it! She was so excited about all the bubbles that she didn't care anything about her bath toys!

Christmas Eve!
We headed to my parents house for Christmas Eve! It snowed some more so Jeff had to get the car warmed up and the driveway ready so we could leave. It was a scary drive over Tiger Mountain to my parents house. Semi trucks that tried the pass without chains had no luck and were off the road in the ditch or stalled in the snow causing a back-up. At one point, I thought we would be stuck for hours but we got moving after a few minutes.
Time for some family pics...

We had a lot of fun playing games, eating & drinking too much, watching movies and opening gifts! It was beautiful outside and cozy warm inside. It was a great day!
Santa stops by!
Opening Gifts!
2008 is Madeleine's 1st Christmas! We had so much fun watching her opening presents! Of course she doesn't understand that anything is for her. She loved to tear the paper and one day she will appreciate all the gifts she receives.
Here she is opening up an ADORABLE outfit from her great Aunt Pat & Uncle Rodger! Thank you!

Madeleine received her very 1st baby! I couldn't quite catch it on film, but my brother asked Madeleine to kiss her baby and she did over and over. It was SO cute!
Sledding on Christmas Eve!
We headed to my parents house to celebrate Christmas Eve! It snowed another 4 inches last night and this morning so we have a lot of snow! My parents live on a golf course and have some great hills to sled on so we went sledding! It was so much fun! I haven't been sledding in years!

We used my dad's sled that he got for Christmas when he was 8 years old!

Holiday Greeting?
I STILL haven't received my Christmas cards in the mail from Sam's Club so I guess I will not be sending out any Christmas cards this year. I am so upset...especially since it is Madeleine's 1st Christmas. I ordered them in early December and I kept calling and calling and they finally refunded my money. I still had hope that they would arrive today but no such luck.
Jeff, Madeleine & I wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. May your 2009 be blessed with love, friendship and kindness!
Below are the pictures that were suppose to be on our Christmas card

Holiday Music!
My mom treated me to a special evening of Christmas music sung by the Seattle Men's Choir at Benaroya Hall. It was so much fun! Thankfully my dad braved the weather and roads and drove us to the concert. Then he waited there for TWO hours while we enjoyed the music so he could drive us home safely. It was a very nerve racking drive...at one point we were the only car on I-90! I can't believe how much snow we have here. Washington hasn't seen this much snow in years. I would say that we got 12 to 15 inches of snow and with the snow drift, around 4 ft. in some places!

The Seattle Men's Choir was incredible! Here are some pictures from our evening out!

All Bundled Up!
Madeleine & I have been snowed in...and I'm going nuts! Our Volkswagen is all-wheel drive but Jeff needs it for work so I am stuck without a car. Not sure I want to venture out with Madeleine anyways...so we've been visiting lots of neighbors to get out of the house. Madeleine is used to getting out for a walk or for a playdate so I think she is going a little stir crazy as well.
Here she is all bundled up in the backpack for our walk today!

They are predicting 50 - 60 mph winds in this area on Saturday so we are crossing our fingers for no power outages! Luckily we have a generator but that only helps so much. Cross your fingers that the winds don't come!
