The BIG 3-0

I turned 30 while in Cincinnati and was able to celebrate it with Jeff's family and my Aunt & Uncle! We started the day at Findlay's Public Market where all of us girls did a wine tasting!


Jeff's sister Laura also flew in for the weekend and she met Madeleine for the 1st time!

They got me a cake - YUM!

We went to a Cincinnati Reds game that night - it was a ton of fun!






While at the game, my Aunt & Uncle watched Madeleine. We really appreciated them doing that for us. I had to say good-bye that night as they are now headed back home to beat the Holiday traffic.

Let's Go Swimming!

John & Amy belong to a Country Club in their development which includes a pool! We went swimming and laid out in the sun - it was a great afternoon!

My Aunt & Uncle from Illinois came out to visit with us and to see Madeleine! It was so nice to see them. They stayed two days with us out here in Cincinnati! Below is Madeleine's great Aunt Patricia - my mom's sister.

Grandma & Aunt Amy bought Madeleine a 747 so she could fly around the pool! Jeff & Uncle John had fun with Madeleine in the pool!

Cincinnati, Ohio

We got into Cincinnati pretty late and the 1st thing on our agenda was getting Madeleine to bed. She barely slept on the flight so we gave her a bath and off to dreamland she went!

So far, things are going well except for one very important detail...Madeleine's luggage! It was never "lost" but it didn't make it on our connecting flight. Then it flew to Chicago...not sure why. Now we are impatiently waiting for it...STILL.

Amy & John's neighbors have two kids that have taken a liking to Madeleine. Here are Sophia & Olivia entertaining Madeleine - so cute to watch!

John and Amy have lots of deer that visit their yard each evening. They are so pretty!

Madeleine got her wings!

Madeleine took her 1st flight this week to visit her Uncle John and Aunt Amy in Ohio! We had an EARLY flight. We woke up at 4:00 a.m. and had to wake Madeleine up at 4:30 a.m., it was a tough day for Jeff & I. Madeleine did really well on both the flights but didn't sleep that much. She was too interested in her new surroundings to sleep but at least she didn't cry!

Madeleine is getting really good at eating her cheeerios these days and she LOVES her them! Jeff & I love them too...these little bitty oats provide many minutes of entertainment for Madeleine!

Lincoln City!

We headed to Lincoln City Oregon for a long weekend and enjoyed some time at the beach! It is a Schroeder family tradition and Madeleine experienced Lincoln City for her very 1st time! We reminisced about our last trip two years ago when we came up with the name Madeleine Rose. Now she is here!

We passed Oregon Wine Country on the way to Lincoln City so of course we made a stop and did some wine tasting! It was Madeleine's 1st time at a winery...about time! The weather was HOT on the way down to the coast, over 100 degrees. The coast was much, much cooler, probably about 70 degrees.

My parents watched Madeleine so Jeff & I could go on a date! We walked down the beach to a hotel to have a drink. We were completely fogged in! While Seattle and Portland had record highs, the coast was cool and very foggy on Friday.

On our way home we stopped to see my Grandpa who just had some surgery. Here are four generations on the Schroeder side. This was Madeleine's 1st time meeting her only living great Grandparents.

Then we stopped to see my Grandma who was at home. Madeleine really liked meeting her great Grandparents!!!
