Moments in time...

The days are long the weeks are short sure seems to fit my life right now! The rainy weather at this time of year can make the days drag on...but at the end of the week, I just can't believe it's already Friday. I signed the kids up for swimming and Madeleine for dance so at least we have that to keep us busy a few afternoons a week. It is hard to entertain kids all day INSIDE!

We had a stretch of nice weather and we got outside a lot! I am still watching two little boys once a week and we headed to the park for some t-ball. The boys had a blast!

I wanted to capture this moment below. Little Madeleine had just woke up and she was cuddled up on the chair with her precious teddy. I know one day Teddy will be left behind. These are the moments to cherish.

Just lately...

Braden & I are still taking a mommy/toddler class together. We love it!

Madeleine met friends at the park and they rode this...

Over the weekend we went on a hike to Twin Falls!

Beautiful view for lunch!

Happy 3rd Birthday Braden!

We celebrated Braden's 3rd Birthday last week! What a big boy we have! We had a family party on Sunday and then a few friends met us at the bouncy house on his actual birthday. Jeff took the day off too!

Braden is into super heroes, Lightning McQueen and Rescuebot Transformers right now so we combined all of those things for the theme of his party! He owns every rescuebot now :) We had spiderman decorated cupcakes and lots of balloons along with a superhero banner. I attempted homemade chocolate chip cupcakes with chocolate chip frosting and they turned out yummy! Braden blew out his candles and enjoyed the cupcakes!

Braden at 3 years old weighs 40 lbs. and is a little over 3 ft. tall. He is in the 90th percentile for a height/weight - a BIG boy! He is as tall at 3 years old as Madeleine was at 4 years old. Braden loves to play with his sissy the most...she is his best friend :) Braden also loves to play with the little boys I watch each week - Diesel and Nate. They play football, tackle each other, play with fire trucks, robots and superheroes!

Braden is a very high energy little boy! He is very persistent and knows what he wants. He has little patience like most toddlers his age but I think his persistence will be a part of his personality forever. He is also very, very loving. He gives lots of hugs and kisses and will spontaneously tell us he loves us. We love our little boy! We are so happy to celebrate his birthday with family & friends.

Now...onto potty training before preschool next year. Wish us luck!

Suncadia

We took a family trip over to Suncadia for a little get-away! We were suppose to go over Mid-Winter break but the pass was closed so we had to re-schedule. We swam, went sledding, went down the water slides, hit the ice-skating rink and finished the trip off with s'mores!

The resort and rooms are beautiful! Each room has a full kitchen so we just relaxed and had pizza after swimming the first day. The next morning, we have a lovely 5:40am wake-up by the fire alarm. Obviously, this was not the way we hoped to start our day :) The alarm woke us up, then it woke Braden up and of course, Madeleine slept through it. But then Braden woke her up. An early morning for everyone....but we powered through. No way was I missing any of the resort activities.

The kids had a blast playing out in the snow. They were out there FOREVER! They actually only used the sled a few times...they were more interested in the little igloo fort someone made. My favorite part of the day was ice-skating with Madeleine. We had the entire rink to ourselves. It was truly magical to skate under the twinkling lights with my little girl. Little Braden was just too tired to join us. Jeff stayed behind with him and watched a movie. It was good for him to take a little rest. We then all met up for s'mores before heading home. Jeff & I got a moment to chat during happy hour at the winery. We put a little show on for the kids and chatted - that was fun too!

The trip was far from perfect but these are some highlights from the trip...screaming toddler not included!
