Pics from last night and this morning...

Each night before bed, we head upstairs to play with the "quiet" toys and wind down. Madeleine has recently found a stash of pacifiers and thinks they are pretty fun to play with! It is funny for us to see her with one in her mouth since she never took one when she was younger. She likes to suck on them for a few seconds and then spit them out!

She also likes to climb in her basket of toys and empty everything out. Good times!

Blueberry mouth! We tried some weetabix with blueberries for breakfast this morning and Madeleine loved it. Hooray! I love finding new things for her to eat!

1-year Check-Up

Madeleine had her 1-YEAR check-up today. I can't believe it! Time is already flying by too fast. Overall, it was a good visit to the doctor! We got some good pointers and Madeleine is looking healthy!

Madeleine weights 24 lbs. and is in the 88% for weight - about the same.
Madeleine is 2'6" tall and is in the 78% for height - down from past visits.
Madeleine still has a big head and is in the 93% for head circumference.

Now that I'm 1 years old...

I weigh enough and I'm old enough to sit face forward in my carseat!

My mommy takes me to fun classes at Gymboree Gym!

I get to go to the kids club at my mommy's gym and play while she works out (during the day!!!)

I get to drink whole milk and eat yummy food like mac n' cheese!

I get invited to lots of birthday parties! It's fun having other baby friends!!

But I'm not totally a big girl yet. I still like my bottle before naptime and bedtime. Every once in awhile, I like to fool my parents into thinking I want to go to sleep...but then I don't. It's pretty funny to me, not to them of course.

Let's Party!

We threw Madeleine a 1st Birthday party with all her baby friends! We had lots of fun catching up with friends and family. It was fun to see all the babies & kids playing together. The best part was watching Madeleine as we sang her Happy Birthday! I still can't believe she is 1 years old!

We served cupcakes at her birthday party, along with Madeleine cookies and lots of yummy food! We couldn't wait to give Madeleine her cupcake to see what her reaction would be to sugar...but she didn't like it. She spit it out and kept giving it to me to eat instead. :-)

Celebrating Madeleine's 1st Birthday!

We took Madeleine to a kid's concert for her birthday! The concert was called "Goldyhands and the Three Bows" and she really liked it! Jeff and I liked it too. They had a string trio and also incorporated sign langauge. Madeleine's likes music so she sat on the ground or in our laps and bounced around, trying to dance. It was cute!

Happy 1st Birthday Madeleine!

Madeleine turns 1-years old today! We can't believe it. This year has gone by so fast and it has been one of the best years of our life. Madeleine, like any child, is so much fun to watch and brings a new kind of wonder & excitement into our lives. Everyday is so much fun! We smile & laugh more...Madeleine brings out the silliness in us!

Madeleine keeps on growing and is around 23 lbs right now. She is pretty tall too (follows her daddy's side of the family)! She loves to use her voice and can say "dada". She also loves to walk behind her car and cruise around the living room. She is very curious but listens when we say NO!

We're taking Madeleine to a kids concert and throwing her a small party to celebrate her BIG day! As Jeff says, it's all really for us since she doesn't have a clue it's her birthday. :-)
