We took a family trip over to Suncadia for a little get-away! We were suppose to go over Mid-Winter break but the pass was closed so we had to re-schedule. We swam, went sledding, went down the water slides, hit the ice-skating rink and finished the trip off with s'mores!
The resort and rooms are beautiful! Each room has a full kitchen so we just relaxed and had pizza after swimming the first day. The next morning, we have a lovely 5:40am wake-up by the fire alarm. Obviously, this was not the way we hoped to start our day :) The alarm woke us up, then it woke Braden up and of course, Madeleine slept through it. But then Braden woke her up. An early morning for everyone....but we powered through. No way was I missing any of the resort activities.
The kids had a blast playing out in the snow. They were out there FOREVER! They actually only used the sled a few times...they were more interested in the little igloo fort someone made. My favorite part of the day was ice-skating with Madeleine. We had the entire rink to ourselves. It was truly magical to skate under the twinkling lights with my little girl. Little Braden was just too tired to join us. Jeff stayed behind with him and watched a movie. It was good for him to take a little rest. We then all met up for s'mores before heading home. Jeff & I got a moment to chat during happy hour at the winery. We put a little show on for the kids and chatted - that was fun too!

The trip was far from perfect but these are some highlights from the trip...screaming toddler not included!
