No More Formula?

Madeleine is almost 1 years old and our doctor gave us the green light on having Madeleine try whole milk. She seems to like it and hasn't had any bad reactions yet. I can't wait until we can stop buying formula!

A winter wonderland!

Washington will definately have a white Christmas this year and we are so excited! We got 2 - 3 inches of snow last night and woke up to a beautiful winter wonderland! It is quite cold outside and the roads are icy so we are staying inside and trying to stay warm. Brrrr!

Since Madeleine isn't walking yet, we haven't invested in any snow shoes for her...check out the mittens I put on her feet to keep them warm!

11 Months Old!

Wow, Madeleine is already 11 months old and her 1st birthday is less than a month away. Time has really flown by! Madeleine's personality is really coming out and she is very vocal these days! She loves to practice screaming (funny to us...not sure how funny it is to others) and says a lot of words that make sense to her but we have no idea what she is saying! It is fun to hear what sounds come out of her mouth! She definately says "dada" and I've heard "mama" a few times but I don't think she has that one down yet. I'm not sure she is connecting that Jeff is "dada" or that I'm "mama" either.

She loves to play "peek-a-boo", clap her hands, wave "hi", pull the toilet paper in the bathroom, climb stairs (supervised of course!), play with other babies, go out and about, practice walking and just hang out with mom & dad. Her eating habits seem to be getting a bit more picky...we've been introducing more finger foods to her but sometimes she refuses new foods. She loves avocado mashed up but when I gave her some bite size pieces, she spit them out. Same with cucumber, peas, and corn. Hmm....but she loves brocolli, cheerios, stars, pancakes, kidney beans and cheese. If you have any finger food ideas for me, send them my way!

Cruising!

Madeleine loves to cruise around the living room and just got the hang of her little car! Just a few weeks ago, her little car moved to fast for her to walk behind but she has it mastered now and loves to walk around the house behind her car.

Bella joins our playgroup!

Andrea & Bella joined our playgroup and met us at Molbak's to get in the Christmas spirit! She is so adorable and a very good baby!

Madeleine meets Santa!

Madeleine met Santa today...but she didn't like him! We took her to Bothell Country Village to meet Santa. When she sat on his lap at first, she just kind of whined but after awhile, she started to cry and looked really scared! The photographer got a few good ones of her when she first sat down and wasn't crying. This picture below is after he took the ones sitting on Santa's lap to see if she would be happier sitting next to Santa. No such luck.

I liked the system at the Country Village because you make an appointment so there is no line but the Santa that we met was not very jolly. I'm not sure if we'll go back there.

Madeleine looked so cute in her little dress that Mimi gave to us when she was born! She'll wear it again on her birthday so I'll post some better pictures then!

Trip to Portland

My mom and I took our annual trip to Portland over the weekend and had a ton of fun! We love to go down there and hang-out...and shop tax-free! We got all of our Christmas shopping done, ate at some yummy restaurants, enjoyed a few glasses of wine and had YUMMY dessert on NW 23rd. We're already planning our next trip!

Madeleine & Jeff enjoyed there time together too and Madeleine was very good for Jeff! I think she missed me though ;-)
