More Snow!
We woke up to snow this morning! I was quite surprised. Madeleine made a few snow angels, we went sledding and she made a baby snowman!

Christmas Morning!
Ho! Ho! Ho! Merry Christmas!
We had a fun, quiet Christmas morning with just the three of us! Madeleine slept in and Jeff & I anxiously waited for her to wake up. As soon as she did, I ran up to get her and Jeff got the video camera going. We couldn't wait for her to see her BIG present from Santa...a new bike! She was very excited to see her new princess bicycle and the other gifts Santa left for her. She also checked to see if Santa had eaten his cookie and if the reindeer had eaten their carrots. They did!!!
It was cute to listen to everything she said while opening presents! She would say things like, "oh wow", or scream/laugh in delight. So fun to watch! After our busy morning of opening presents, my family came over for a Christmas lunch. Jeff made us watch The Christmas Story a million times which my dad enjoyed. We had a very merry day :-)
Madeleine received a pillow pet from her Grandma JJ & GG in Texas. You can see how excited she was! She immediately took it to her room and put it on her bed. She sleeps with it every night.
Madeleine received another present by mail, a music wand from Aunt Sarah & Gail. She danced all around the room with it!

29 1/2 Weeks!
Merry Christmas EVE!
Merry Christmas Eve! We celebrated with the Schroeder side this year and as always, tradition is to open presents and celebrate on Christmas Eve! We had a wonderful time with family. We watched movies, visited, the guys played a little pool and the kids played. We had lots of yummy food to eat and Santa even stopped by! We were wiped out by the end of the night.
Madeleine was very excited this year to open presents and wasn't shy about sitting on Santa's lap at all. At the beginning of the evening, she was excited and shocked each time a present was given to her but by the end of the night, she was asking for more presents! She got the hang of it real quick. Needless to say, we will be working on the joy of giving gifts, not just receiving, in the next year :-) She did say a lot of "thank-you's" though!

The Nutcracker
Madeleine & I got dressed up and went on a mommy-daughter date to see a mini production of The Nutcracker! A friend's daughter performed with her dance academy and it was so much fun! The show was the perfect length of time, about 45 minutes. Madeleine did very well. She watched very intently the entire time! It was cute to watch her take it all in and clap after each act.
