Stomp - Stomp, Clap - Clap, Awhooooo!

We had an absolute blast at Great Wolf Lodge! Jeff had a conference there so of course Madeleine & I tagged along. Jeff was there for four days but Madeleine & I headed down late Wednesday night and we all left on Friday. From the information on the website, I wouldn't of taken Madeleine at her age if Jeff hadn't had a conference there but now that I have experienced the waterpark, I would totally go back and take a child as young as Madeleine. We all had SO MUCH FUN!

Here is Madeleine on her way to the pool for the first time. We didn't know that they had life jackets at the pool so we had her wear her suit with a life jacket inside :-)

The life jacket barely fit over her bathing suit - ha!

After swimming for hours while Jeff was at his conference, we got cleaned up and headed down for story time and a show. Madeleine loved it! She kept asking for the "show"! This is where Madeleine learned the Great Wolf greeting: "Stomp - Stomp, Clap - Clap, Awhooooo"!

All the characters come alive and sing!

We kept calling Madeleine "Queeny" because she was sure treated like a Queen while visiting the Great Wolf Lodge. Here she is watching Elmo...she requested to wear her headphones.

We also visited the arcade while there. Madeleine is too small to play anything but she loved running around looking at all the lights! Jeff & I ran around like kids trying to win Madeleine a prize and she came home with a little puppy dog and a toy rhino! We laughed so hard...it was so fun!

Jeff was at his conference most of the trip but we got to eat a few meals together. I was really impressed with the selection of food at Camp Critter, yum! They even had a Starbucks on site!

On the last evening, Jeff joined us in the water park. Madeleine showed him everything she liked to do and we took turns going down the BIG scary rides while the other watched Madeleine.

Madeleine was a brave little girl and went down a few slides all by herself. She smiled and screamed at the end!

The green slide was her favorite...I think because this was the only slide we could go on with her

We had fun in the wave pool!

Madeleine & Mommy going down the slide one last time!

Sky High Jump!

We met some friends at Sky High Sports in Bellevue for a playdate! Sky High Jump has all trampoline floors and walls so it is a fun & crazy place to jump, jump, jump! I'm not sure if Madeleine or mommy had more fun :-)

Taylor & Fiona met us at Sky High

Madeleine met Fiona at our toddler class and loves her! Fiona is such a cutie pie!

Idylwood Beach Park

We had another beautiful weekend and tried to get outside as much as possible. We took Madeleine to Idylwood Beach Park on Lake Sammamish where she has a lot of fun! We played on the toys and watched the ducks!

Top 300!

I ran in the St. Patty's Day 5k with two of my girlfriends over the weekend! It was so much fun! The course was a bit hilly but I ran the entire time and feel good about the race. I finished in the top 300, a very elite group of people - ha!

Jeff & Madeleine met me at the finish line. I loved seeing their faces there cheering me on!

Katy & Sara ran the race with me. They were always a few paces ahead of during the race and motivated me to keep going!

I saw so many friends and neighbors there! Here is my neighbor Janaina with her little boy!

Bainbridge Island Day Trip

We just love Bainbridge Island as you can probably tell by all the trips we take over there! Saturday was a beautiful sunny day so we decided to take a trip over the water to enjoy the day. Jeff & I were laughing at the fact that we only visit Bainbridge on sunny days so in our minds, it is this lovely place where we walk around and shop, eat outside and take in the amazing views. I hope to never visit when it is raining out :-)

Here is Madeleine noticing the ferry started to move. She kept saying "we're moving, we're moving"! Notice her reflection in the window?

View of the City

I've taken this shot before but I think it is so cute!

Mt. Ranier

The sailboats were so much fun to watch! I couldn't believe how many were out!

Jeff picked a fun little cafe that we've never tried for lunch. It was yummy! Even Madeleine enjoyed her grilled cheese!

Back on the ferry, on the way home...

What we've up to...

We went to visit my great grandparents to say hi! Madeleine liked the cheetos Great Grandma gave her :-)
Madeleine loves her baby dolls and likes to pretend that she is a mommy!

Madeleine's been working on her abs of steel! I do these crunches with a bigger ball and Madeleine loves to copy!

Class!

Madeleine is still enjoying her "class" that we attend each week. Every time we drive into the parking lot, she shouts "class, class" and then talks about all her little friends she is about to see!

Today Jeff came to our class for about an hour so he could see what Madeleine does there. They painted, played at the water table, dids all sorts of coloring & stamping and played with some play-doh. He also sat in on Madeleine's favorite part of the day, singing! She LOVES to sing and practically goes nuts running around when they announce it is singing time.

Today Madeleine decided to play dress up at class and ran around the room in her fireman outfit making fire trucks sounds!
