Rocking Braden

I had Jeff snap a photo of me rocking Braden the other night. I wanted to capture the special moment before time flies by and I no longer get to rock him anymore. We are so busy with two kids that I feel like I don't get to enjoy these little moments as much as I did with Madeleine. He is such a cutie pie though and I love to watch him fall to sleep at night. He has the cutest little smile and always smiles up at me...even when he is beyond tired. He is a happy little guy!

I don't want him to grow-up. I want him to stay a baby. I am enjoying him so much!

Dress Rehearsal

Today we had Madeleine's dress rehearsal for her ballet recital tomorrow. It was so cute to watch the girls put together their dances on stage. Ms Cindy & Ms Shelly did a fabulous job getting little costumes to go with each song! My favorite was "Singing In the Rain" which is pictured below.

4 kids!

I glimpsed what it would be like to have 4 kids today while I watched a friend's little boy & girl. I think I could do it...for about 24 hours. I was BUSY! Thank goodness Braden slept for most of it and Madeleine & Taylor got along so well or it would not have gone so smoothly. Little Lauren is a cutie pie...so quiet and sweet. But I was afraid she would get into something she wasn't suppose to so I watched her like a hawk while Madeleine & Taylor played nicely together. I even snapped a photo of Taylor wearing Madeleine's Snow White dress...he didn't want to wear it for long but I couldn't resist snapping a photo for Shannon.

What a beautiful weekend! We enjoyed a great day outside...breakfast on the patio, playing outside and a picnic for dinner.

Here's what we've been up to the last few days...

Jeff has been busy gardening now that Spring is here? Hmm...lets hope we can get more than just a few days of sunshine in a row sometime soon! But even through the drizzle, Madeleine has had fun helping daddy plant the garden and play in the "soil". Jeff is so proud that she calls it "soil" instead of "dirt"...an engineer in the making :-)

Madeleine had her last day of toddler class last week and finished up with a picnic this week. I think we are both ready for this class to be over. At the end, Madeleine & I got a little bored with it. I think she is ready for preschool. But I did LOVE these last few weeks of one on one time with her and it gave us a place to be creative each week. I will definately do the BCC class again with Braden. The parent education portion is something I can't do without!

Braden is just growing and growing! He is a very happy baby! Knock on wood, I hope it lasts, but he is sleeping through the night and taking a few good naps during the day now so life is becoming a bit more predictable. He loves his tummy time and is really starting to talk. It is so cute to watch! I wonder what he is trying to say?! Madeleine really likes Braden and continues to be very sweet to him. I think she wishes he was older and could actually play with her. She really wants him to sleep on her trundle bed and have a sleepover...all in due time!
